The woman whose death was widely alleged on social media after claims that she saw the Oloolu procession has appeared publicly to deny the reports, confirming that she is alive.
In a video released recently, Wasilat recounted her experience, alleging that traditionalists came to her house after she uploaded a TikTok video showing Amotekun personnel and a crowd during the Oloolu procession. She said the video was later deleted.
According to her, she spent a night at a police station and was allegedly subjected to intimidation. She claimed that her hair was shaved and that she was forced under duress to make a confession suggesting that something had happened to her after seeing Oloolu.
Wasilat further alleged that she was made to pay ₦400,000 before she was eventually released.
Her account has sparked widespread public reaction and renewed calls for a thorough investigation into the incident. Supporters are urging the relevant authorities to investigate her allegations, establish the facts, and ensure that justice is served if any wrongdoing is confirmed.
