The recent abduction of teachers and the principal of Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oyo State, has continued to generate reactions online, with some Nigerians calling for a deeper investigation into the incident.
Many social media users pointed to the calm demeanor and composure of the victims in videos released after the incident, describing the situation as unusual for a kidnapping scenario.
One online commentator wrote:
“Are you sure this was a bandit attack? They were speaking as if it was staged. Take a look at the second video — the woman was talking casually and her voice was calm. Also, in the first video, why were clothes hanging in the background? This looks more suspicious than a bandit attack.”
Another user also reacted, saying:
“These people were not kidnapped by bandits. It looks like those behind it are people from the same area. Don’t bring bandits into this matter. Bandits don’t even speak English fluently.”
Similarly, some Nigerians questioned the viral video involving the late Mr. Michael Oyedokun, who was reportedly beheaded. According to critics, he also appeared unusually calm in the footage, leading to speculation and different interpretations online.
While these claims remain unverified, many people are demanding a thorough and transparent investigation to uncover the true circumstances surrounding the incident and to clear public doubts.
